Covenant People

Luke and Annie Williams
When Sister Cook represented the Young Women, I was reminded that I have five grand daughters.  I am depending on their parents to raise them well, as I am more certain every day that my grand daughters will be key to my survival in the uncertain world of the future.

Your daughters are so important: Cate, Annie, Hannah, Genevieve, and Lily are not only your daughters, they are my grandchildren, daughters of a loving Heavenly Father, and the future mothers of YOUR grandchildren.

Whatever challenges you face in your relationships, or in teaching your children, FACE THEM.  The stakes are high.  We want every one of our children and grandchildren to learn how to make the choices that will keep them safe, and to learn how to make those covenants that will allow them to access the greatest of their potential.

We are a covenant people.

Parents and teachers, your example must be clear. You are raising tomorrow´s leaders. You must be pure by following the Gospel principles of faith, repentance, baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end by keeping covenants. The teachings of the home and Church with help your children keep standards that help them overcome temptation and have peace and prosperity in a dangerous world.

"The Kingdom of our God, that is set upon the earth, does not require men of many words and flaming oratorical talents, to establish truth and righteousness. It is not the many words that accomplish the designs of our Father in Heaven, with him it is the acts of the people more than their words; this I was convinced of before I embraced the gospel". (Brigham Young)
